Barrett Dorner

Barrett has served as fire chief of the Lake Township Fire Department and Portage Fire District. He previously served on the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department, Rossford Fire & Rescue Department, and Perrysburg Twp. Fire/EMS.
Dan Dorner
Hands-On Training Coordinator
Dan is a private (firefighter/EMT) on the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department. He’s currently the first driver on Engine Co. 23. Previously, Dan was a lieutenant at the Rossford Fire & Rescue Department, and a training lieutenant at the Spencer Twp. Fire Department.
JD “Papa” Dorner
Instructor
JD retired as a detective from the Toledo Police Department’s joint TPD-TFRD Fire Investigation Unit. He started in the fire service four decades ago as volunteer firefighter in Perrysburg Twp. Fire/EMS and currently a member of the Waterville and Whitehouse fire departments.
Dan Turner
Instructor
Dan is a technician with Loudoun County Fire & Rescue. He’s also a lieutenant on the Independent Fire Company in West Virginia, and a member of the Progress Fire Company in Pennsylvania.

Mike Lord
Instructor
Mike is a firefighter on the Rossford Fire & Rescue Department and serves on several other departments in Northwest Ohio.
Eric Pinkham
Instructor
Eric is a lieutenant on the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department, currently assigned to Engine 18’s Company, which is part of the department’s Urban Search & Rescue team. He is a member of the Toledo Pipes & Drums and the Northern Ohio FOOLS.
